Historic houses, gardens and specialist nurseries abound. Those with a taste for the sea have a wide choice, all within half an hour or so. And delightful small fishing villages such as Orford or Aldeburgh where art galleries abound.

The Cottage at Rowans is a welcoming, well appointed, centrally heated and spacious ground floor barn conversion.
Set amidst the countryside of SW Suffolk it also enjoys extensive views. Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Sudbury and Saffron Walden are all about 25 minutes drive, whilst Long Melford and Lavenham are a little further. The owners house is adjacent to the cottage.
An 18 hole golf course lies to the SW of the property, the club house is approximately 800 metres away. Walking, riding and antique hunting are all within easy reach and interesting walks to the Stour Valley on your doorstep. Several local pubs, and the golf course provide evening meals and lunches most days.

<p>The fine award winning sandy beaches of Lowestoft are about a two mile drive away. For a great day out try Kessingland Wildlife Park, Pleasurewood Hills American Theme Park, Fritton Lake Country Park, Somerlayton Hall or the Olde Worde charms of the seaside town of Southwold.
About an hours drive away is the historic cathedral city of Norwich. If you don't fancy driving let the train take the strain, the Norwich - Lowestoft train stops at a station only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. There are several pubs in Oulton Broad all serving good food as well as a fish & chip shop and a Chinese take-away.
