Locally there are day and night markets (July and August) excellent restaurants for all budgets, horse riding, golf (two 18 hole and one 9 hole within 30 minutes drive), fishing, cycling, walks, watersports, wine tasting and music festivals (Major country and western music festival held in Mirande and the largest Jazz festival in Europe held in Marcia in August) plus just 5 minutes down the road in Castera Verduzan a thermal spa, inland lake and beach fed by thermal springs plus a racetrack and casino.
Toulouse, Auch, Pau, Lourdes, Biarritz and Spain are all an easy drive if you wish to explore further afield. This is a delightful area to discover or just relax by the pool with a glass of wine!

Try kayaking or walking with donkies! Skiing is within easy reach at the wonderful Col de Trapp or the Station of Guzet Neige.The Saturday market at saint Girons must not be missed, being one of the largest and most colourful in France and the City of Saint Lizier offers a cultural delight.
Many more fascinating places are close by to visit, which combined with the local activities, festivals and fetes means you can be as occupied or as relaxed and peaceful as you wish.
